Washington State is making changes to the laws that govern community associations. WUCIOA (Washington Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act) provides rules for how HOA’s and common-interest communities operate, including areas such as meetings, voting, assessments, records, reserves, and communication with homeowners.  One of the most important changes is scheduled for January 1, 2028. At that time, the older laws that govern many existing HOA and common interest communities will be repealed, and WUCIOA will generally become the common legal framework. This upcoming change will require updating/modernizing JBE’s governing documents. The Board of Directors has begun planning for these changes that are intended to ensure common interest communities are transparent, organized, financially responsible, and homeowner-friendly. We have a new sports equipment tote located on the side of the community building (facing the court), that contains a portable net, paddles and pickleballs for your use! The padlock opens with your beach gate key. Thank you for returning the items and locking them back up after your game. Many thanks to the generous JBE members who donated the equipment.
